...still not decorated.
But I truly am enjoying writing and reading and staring into space by the glow of the lights.
At the Second Helpings Christmas party - which I still need to write about, we received a Target gift certificate. I treated myself to a record player. It's perfect - built in speakers and portable. I've spent the evening listening to the few records I have. All and all a great way to spend a Friday evening.

You could not give yourself a better gift than music. Merry Christmas Nora!
Merry Christmas, Nora! I'm home until Jan 11. Keep me posted on all musical happenings in Indy!
Merry Christmas Nora. I'm wondering if the tree got decorated but if it didn't ...what a great tradition to start. "Oh my no it's not decorated, I would NEVER defile my tree by doing that!"
Then as the guests leave they can whisper "Don't you think she's a bit odd?"
About your messy desk. I like to call what you were doing, 'Turning the compost.'
Nora, I hope you did have a nice Christmas. And now,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
If we lived closer you could borrow my old Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan records. I can't play them.
I have a few CDs, sort of ones like those. And the Beach Boys, I didn't have a record for them.
A leave blower is good for cleaning off desks. :-)

Hi Nora! Happy New Year! I have several hundred record (albums) you are welcome to pick and choose from next time you're in Nebraska! Some of them were my mom's, so the collection covers several decades. I didn't know they were still making record players?
I have a desk just like yours. When I try and clear it off, i notice that I go back in time, just like in archeology, the top layer being the most recent. I call it "deskology."
Okay Nora, I'll say it - time to take the tree down.
Ralph
